Seen this before?
Playing eight decks with four other players. Dealer killing us, three BJs in a row, twenties, pulling 4s, 5s and 6s, etc.making her hands. About 4-5 decks left in shoe.
One guy says he will sit out and wait for shuffle, the other players do the same thing, I'm non-plussed; do the same thing.
Two floor people watching all this and give the okay for the dealer to shuffle. Now this is a ten dollar table, so not doing it to keep high rollers happy, etc.
I have never seen this before, how unusual is it?
