I have been backed off there. Do they communicate back-offs to toher Boyd properties like Texas Station?
Once you've been backed off and you return or go to another property they own are you guilty of a crime (trespassing for instance) or do you just risk being booted again?
Not at all clear to me. I was trespassed at Caesars but they never mentioned their sister properties. I would assume that taking the more conservative default is wise.
I think Flash's answer was right on (being conservative). But if they just said "no more blackjack" then all that can happen if you go back is to get backed off again or barred this go-round. Of course, you are going to be too smart to go back to the same dealer / pit crew, right? :)
If they tresspass you, stay away, as then you can get into great trouble with the _real_ cops, as opposed to the casino 3-stooges group. I'd personally feel pretty safe in going to _another_ property unless they specifically told me to stay off of _all_ of their properties. And they'd have to explicitly enumerate them to you to make it stand up I believe, as I have no idea who owns what most of the time, and just go to play BJ.

I also was backed off at Stardust within the last six months. They were very cordial and polite in their conversation which ran fairly typical for such things, but they never mentioned not returning to their other properties. The only thing which was different was that the floor supervisor was specific about the eye making the call, and they were almost apologetic. Usually they don't give me any information beyond their normal speech.
This makes me wonder what simliar experiences others have had and what tactics various casinos have taken in backoff.
I agree with you. Regarding returning after a trespass warning, I would not worry about going to related properties as they did not tell you about those and you are not expected to know who owns each casino (you did not intend to break the law). Also, you may also be able to claim ignorance if you go back to original casino after it has been sold to another owner as you did not intend to break the law when you assumed the trespass warning no longer applied. At minimum it may be a mitigating circumstance. Do not sign anything if asked to sign an acknowledgment of trespass warning. I am not a lawyer but you can ask 5 lawyers about this and you will get 14 different opinions, all will tell you they are right!

This usually happens if you were playing with a players card ( real name or assumed ) so long as you have a way of picking up your mailed flyers they will end up inviting you back and one could reasonably argue they thought the back off/ tresspass had been forgiven.
I don't see how they can make a criminal offence stick if someone ignores a back-off/tresspass one time and gets busted again. If they don't have proof they tresspassed that AP, they have no teeth to chew with.
A few years ago I was tresspassed at a Vegas sweat shop. About a year later I received a mailer with an offer of a free 3 night stay and free entry into a slot tournament. I called and took advantage of the offer but made sure I brought the offer with me in the envelope they mailed to me.
During my second session of playing blackjack there I was approached and told nicely that I was tresspassing and either I leave now or they will have me arrested (if you can be told that nicely). I reached into my pocket and brought out the invitation and told them that I thought this meant that they had decided they did want my business now. I was told to wait with security and after about 15 minutes they apologized to me and told me I was welcome to stay in the hotel,and play any of the games except blackjack and that they would treat me to dinner.
I guess they lack of communication and probably some good luck, took me from a barring to a backoff.
I believe the legal system in Nevada clearly says that if you are trespassed, and then the property invites you back, the trespass is canceled and you can return when ready. I believe that I read that this has been tested already and held up, the idea being that security trespassed someone, marketing invited them back with a comp'ed room, they went back, security tried to have them arrested, and so forth. I don't remember the specifics however...
