just reading Lawrence Revere's book

Is the Five count just for single deck or do players use this in shoe games also

any info appreciated

Single Deck only.

From Playing Blackjack as a Business, page 87:

The Revere Five Count is very easy to learn. All that you keep track of is the four fives.

yes,,, only been Studying Blackjack recently,

played my 1st game last week - never used any count but never made a single mistake on basic stategy

{ cards where dealt from the shuffler machine - but ok for 1st time practice }

Mid way through this game i noticed the Casino did have a six deck shoe game which i will use from now on -

{ shoe games in UK casinos are very rare }

This old method is one half of the ace-five count. I suppose it would be fairly effective for single or double-deck but not much else. Does anybody still use the ace-five count?
