Question: Betting Spread Range?

I'm using the K-O count and the authors suggest a betting spread that is too weak for the games I find. Units: 1-5 on SD & DD games and 1-10 on shoes. I'm using 1-6 on SD, 1-8 on DD and 1-12 on shoes. Knowing when you should bet the minimum and maximum by the count is easy- it is the middle that I am having trouble with.
How do you determine the proper betting spread to correlate with the count?

My brain hurts. How the hell can you understand something like this without a masters in math or statistics? I understand the need to "prove" the calculations but can't any of these math geniuses simplify the formulas at the conclusion?

I ran into the same problem with Don S's chapters in BJ Attack. He provided a few examples but it'd be so nice if *someone* created a simple, easy to reference chart.

- If playing 2D, H17, DAS, NS, DOA, 1-8sp w/$5K Bank - use $x min & $y max.
- 1-4 spread use ....
- 1-6 spread use ....

Don S. took a stab at it, but instead of providing a specific dollar amount, he generated a number. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the number to calculate the bet amount. After spending all the time explaining all the formulas, you'd think creating a reference chart wouldn't be so difficult.

Chapter 10 Blackjack Attack charts.

Find the chart closest to the game you play. There is a column called Optimal Bet based on a 400 unit bank. Convert your KO count to HiLo equiv and figure out at what KO count is about equal to a HiLo +1 thru +6. Bet as close as you can unit-wise to the optimal units given in the charts.

You just plug in the game rules, your counting system, and your bankroll, and it generated optimum betting ramps, SCORE, risk of ruin, hourly win rates, and all sorts of other cool stuff.

Sound good? I thought so. Now the bad news - it is temporarily off the market while the developer works out a licensing problem.
