Answer
I am realatively new to counting and I was wondering what type of system to use because of the local small casinos. ( I say small because most are just bars with 3 or 4 bj tables)
The game is: double on any to dealt cards and after split
dealer hits 16
You don't say how many decks and how deep the penetration. I'm assuming 6 decks. When you say dealer hits 16, I think you mean he stands on all 17s (the other possibility is he hits soft 17). This game is not great, but it could be ok if the penetration is close to 5/6 decks.
The problem is the betting, the max is only 25$ with a min of 1$
So the question is which system would be the most benificial to my current situation and if there are any corrections in the basic strategy that is on this website in lesson 1 of the blackjack school.
With a $25 maximum betting, you won't be able to win much money. But I suspect that might not be your concern. There are many people (including me) who are happy just playing with an advantage. Being able to spread from $1-$25 can be advantageous.
The blackjack school presents HiLo, which is sufficient for what you need. It is a general purpose system used by most counters. Why be different? The only thing is, if it becomes difficult to perform true count conversion, you might consider KO. Whatever system you choose, keep it simple so you can better enjoy the game.
The basic strategy there is probably a generic strategy that works with different combination of number of decks and rules. It will do, but, if you really want, you can get a basic strategy geared to your specific game at http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bjbse.php.
Thank you very much and your comments are greatly appreciated.
