Proper Betting During ( + ) Counts

Should an AP make any adjustments for the number of units wagered if the + count happens early or late in the shuffle? In other words is a +3 TC the same in both the first half and second half of the shoe? I selected +3 as a middle count where I am betting 2 to 3 units and I'm wondering if I shouldn't bump my bets up to 5 units at +3 during the last half of the shoe? ( I'm using a 1 to 5 spread ).

Using the example of HiLo, a count of +3 means there are three more "good" cards than "bad" cards PER DECK in the remaining undealt portion of the pack/shoe.

It's an inherent, and insurmountable, weakness in the system that we cannot know if the "good" cards will be seen in the next round or if they are ensconced behind the cut card or somewhere in between.

Thus, the "+3" is an AVERAGE. If you bet the average you will, on average, have the advantage.

IOW, I am aware of no maths or sims which indicate a "+3" is anything other than a "+3," regardless of the number of undealt cards.

Of course it's very convenient and generally applicable to just rely on the TC for bet sizing.But it's undeniable that the same TC early in the shoe is worth less than late in the shoe.The difference can make up to half a percent.This becomes apparent when you compare the house-edge for different numbers of decks.
Since the advantage situation depends also on the specific house rules which can vary dramatically,it's better to base the betting scheme on the real edge and of course your bankroll.
