using a progression cover betting system with counting...you delay raising your bet when losing and delay lowering your bet when winning...anything you do that causes you to bet sub-optimal has a cost associated with it. Seldom does any cover betting system that is tied with card counting completely remove your advantage...but some advantages are so low that you're turning the game into a coin-toss. Use enough cover and your 1% edge can becomes an 0.4% edge very quickly...you've got an advantage but it's not very useful unless you're getting heavy comps, rebates, or something else of value making exposure to the variance of the game worthwhile.
You just answered my questions. Actually, I misunderstood your previous statement. When you said 'gains an edge', I thought you meant above and beyond the normal advantage from counting. Actually you were saying, like cover, it cuts into the advantage that counting already gives you. My bad. But thanx.
