Possible major mergers ahead
The talks between MGM/Mirage and Mandalay have been extended till Friday. If a merger or takeover happens and gets approval they will control 29 casinos. Meanwhile Harrahs has shown interest in full control of Binions not just a partner interest and they are rumored to be talking merger with either Station Casinos or Caesars. Stock prices for both Mandalay and Stations have risen recently making a takeover even more expensive.
