ploppy kicked out for "style of play"

Was playing recently and some poor lady was kicked out of a small casino for betting a big stack of red chips. She protested and demanded to know why she couldn't play blackjack anymore. She was jumping her bet around but it definitely wasn't at the right time. I found out she's a few thousand up on them recently. Just goes to show some casinos don't like winners and are overly paranoid. I can't believe they made this kind of mistake. It's kinda funny but I don't want to be next. Any tips on pocketing green chips or disguising your winnings? Should I continue to use a players card?

There is no reason to get heat if your losing unless you really look suspect. Practice your act and always look like a loser. Go south with some chips when no one is looking. Be reasonable. You can't do it if you're the only one on the table. You can only pocket color that others are playing. Keep coming out with cash. Players cards with losing records will always be welcomed back with comps. Enjoy the comps!

What I usually do is put my hand over a stack and palm one when the dealer is shuffling and the floor is watching something else.Reach in my pocket,put the chip in and usually pull a little money out like I'm checking the bank or like I'm checking my phone.I usually take a couple of hundred of the table that way.Someone else needs to be playing the same kind of chips you are or it might look suspicious.Also watch for security as I was doing this one night and did not notice a security officer standing behind me.

Hiding your winnings from the pit is an illusion. They can see from the chip rack whether you're winning ... unless you play at a crowded table which is a very bad idea.
Short term winnings are anyway meaningless. They don't allow to determine whether you're an AP or not.
Putting away chips like a thief can raise suspicions. It's as if you had a bad conscience for winning, a typical state of mind of a (beginning) card counter
Apart from that, I also pocket my big denomination chips, for the simple reason that I don't want to have them scattered on the lay- out.

I'm not sure how inconspicuous one needs to be when taking chips off the table. I think people do it all the time with their profit thinking they will put it away and not lose it back. I play green and red so it's not as big a deal and maybe it just looks like the money is important to me. I'll probably work on palming chips also in case I do want to be inconspicuous.

As far as casinos not using short term results to determine if you're an AP... this is exactly what the casino was going on when they backed off that lady the other day. She was betting smaller stacks of red but jumped it to a stack of 20 and won. She jumped her bet at the wrong time but has been winning against them recently. So the combination of the bet jumps and winning was all they were going on. I doubt most pit crews are this unsophisticated but it was a small casino and I guess they don't like consistent "winners".

Especially in small casinos, one should be careful not to hit them to hard. When you have won a few thousands the wisest thing to do is to move on . If you prolong the session you might make things worse by winning more. Or you lose back which you don't want either. Also,you shouldn't return there for a while to give them time both to recover and to forget about you.
Once I violated this principle when I was off to a roaring start.
Since I had driven two hours for this casino and already taken a hotel room I played on in the "hope" of losing back but unfortunately I won even more.As I had also won big in recent sessions, I knew that this wouldn't remain without consequences.
At the end of the session, the director told me that they had had enough and would from now on reduce the table max to 100 Euros which made the place unprofitable for me.

I've been pocketing chips when the pit boss isn't around, but I really don't mind if the dealer sees because I think it's fairly normal. I lost a big double down and ended the session out of chips looking like a loser. I actually had more in my pocket than what I bought in for. Went to the cafe for a hot dog and asked the girl if I had anything on my players card. I have only played there a handful of times, maybe a dozen hours or so... I couldn't believe it when she told me $72... that's a lot of hot dogs.

Dont give the security at any casino too much credit, esp. in california. most casino security are just retired or ex-military. and they only make like $12/hr, so its not like they are highly trained or anything. I have worked in surveillance and security. I know i didnt give a damn when i was a rent a cop.
