Playing on the same table with another counter

I am looking for people's opinions and/or experiences with playing with other counters. i am taking a trip with a friend of mine who is also a counter he said that he would like to play on the same table as me. I have never done this before he claims that he has done it before and never had problem and though he is usually pretty honest. I have always believed two counters on the same table fluctuating and playing the same would be very obvious and bring heat and backoffs.

does anyone have an opinion/experience doing this?

You are right. Identical bet fluctuations could draw heat. Also, additional players slow the game down and can have a negative effect on EV. Best bet would be to play at separate tables.

I’ve been looking for a buddy for myself but it’s hard to get one. That’s the main problem.

One advantage of 2 counters at same table would be to make use of multi parameter count strategies such as perfect insurance or a count correlated to available side bets.  Regular counter bet progression would notify other counter of current count.

Several team play plots have been demonstrated in the movie “21,” but the most powerful one is to play with a boy or girl friend. However, I haven't seen any girl players on this website. 

You could have a bf/gf date situation and use the one person to serve a gorilla role,  Speaking about their Feelings to bet more or less, while you stay more flat and let the gorilla take the wins. 

Two players ramping up and down at the same time will bring heat from even the most tolerant casinos. Read Nathanial Tilton's book "A Blackjack Life" for a very stealthy way for two players to attack a table together with great cover.
