Playing Craps

We all know or should know that craps is a negative game in the long run so if we are playing to make money we should stick to positive games such as sports betting,races, etc.But if one is going to play the dice this is my personal way to play.. The idea is to get in and get out and the way to hopefully do this is to play the Dont Pass. Since the comeout roll we are at a 8 to 3 disadvantage our first bet should be as small as the table allows. Where I play the minimum bet is $5.If you play anything more than that is wrong, why place a larger bet when you are at the largest DA. Now my reason to play the DP is that when you get to a point number we will lay the odd and if win we will be paid at the correct odds. We must put up more but on each point we are the favorite to win so if our goal is to try to get up quick I would rather be on the side with the odds in our favor.The odds are even and nothing more but we are the favorite to win the bet.So if our goal is to get up 1 to 5 units this is th way I like to play. If you are going to play a long time at one table than I would say play the Pass or Dont pass and take or lay the odds whichever you prefer but if you want to win ( hopefully) quick I prefer the Dont side.In closing , stick to he positive games and if you play the negative games keep your bets small( compared to the positive games) , hope to win early and get out.On the laying of odds I will always lay on the 4,5,9,10 and usually will not lay on the 6 or 8 only because my best shots at winning early is on those numbers that are a harder to make and on the 6 or 8 even though I have an advantage of 6 to 5 it is not as good as 2 to 1 or 3 to 2 on the 4,10 or the 5 and 9.If you prefer to lay on the 6 or 8 that's fine because a 6 to 5 adv.is still a nice edge. This is just the way I like to play and this way is no better or worse than another.

lay on the 6 and 8 for the reason being it pays better and is easier to recoup the losses than a bad run on the 4 or 10

i think it best to play no more than 2 don'ts against one shooter

a $2 table with at least 5 times odds is a good way to go because you risk little on the come out and then when you have the edge you lay odds

on tables that offer poor odds or a high minimum i place a large bet on the don't come and insure it with a yo bet and then lay no odds

i have done well this way and will walk with a 5 unit win which 75% of the time i attain

comps seem to build up fast this way also

Panther, I like yor ideas. I play just one dont per shooter except if the shooter rolls a craps on the comeout I will parlay on the next roll. Two bets per shooter is OK but I would never go to 3. I believe dont bettors biggest problems come from being on every comeout. Any profits accumulated on previous rolls will be lost on one or two hot shooters. Patience is a neccesity on the dont side.
