Player Edge

I'm trying to determine the player edge on a set of rules a local casino (WA) has been playing on a regular basis for "Happy Hour" - 9am-12pm and 9pm-12am. The game is as follows:

6D, DOA, DAS, RSA, H17, 80% (w/ a house edge of ~0.56)

But for happy hour they pay 2:1 on a 21 of 7-7-7, 6-7-8, and suited BJ. As I understand it paying 2:1 on BJ adds about 2.2 to the player edge. Assuming suiteds are 1/4 of the BJs, this would take ~.54 off the house edge for a house edge of ~.02. Since the 6-7-8 & 7-7-7 occur so rarely I'm guessing this would not have a huge impact on the edge, but it should be enough to put it in positive territory. Any idea what the edge is on this game?

BTW: I do a Hi-Lo, but am not up to 6D yet with confidence & distractions.

The game described here has an off-the-top player advantage of about 0.15%. It's spread at the Chips Casino in Lakewood, WA.

For many people, this is the only decent game within 100 miles. Bye bye happy hour. :( Btw, you WILL get barred there if you play b.s. and your bet goes above $50 during happy hour. I've seen it happen to dozens. If you're okay with $10 an hour just for entertainment, you might not get barred. But, I've seen someone with a max bet of $20 get the trespass. I assume that you have already been barred there Gorgon so you don't care. What advantage is it to post this for you? The only possible advantage that I can think of is that you're a casino spy.

Also, be prepared for chip swiping and crack smoking in the bathroom. This is NOT the Belagio.

Thanks for the info. The edge sounds ballpark right - though a little higher than I would have expected with no adjustments to bs.

Right now I'm simply playing for entertainment there. I'm mostly low flat betting (except in high counts) in 30min-60min sessions. Nothing to bring too much notice to me. I walk out with lunch money, but not a week's pay.

Not that desperate yet to becoming a casino espionage agent. But thanks for the vote of confidence. On the other hand, if it happened that casinos that didn't offer this promotion were to find themselves in the position of losing customers to casinos that did, would that not in itself be a good thing? Would it not have the effect of forcing their hands? Afterall, casinos need to fill those seats with live bodies having real cash. I think the word should be spread far and wide, not kept a big fat secret. Make the casinos compete for each others' valued customer base. Don't give 'em a cakewalk.

Sure, but the House disadvantage is -.0062%, not -.15%. And if you play that way, you will be a strong candidate to win the bootie prize. Everyone else got it, what makes you any different?

You just said it was a positive ev off the top. I didn't bother calculating it myself. It should go without saying that was what I was referring to.
