i live and play BJ in the UK. you guys should think yourselves lucky, here you can not split 10's or ace's, thats if you wanted to. Even though there is an insurance box on the baize, you can't play it,( I got free meals for my lady and myself out of more than one casino by playing up about that one!!) you don't get comped any drinks, they play with 4 decks, and the worst thing is that now they are bringing in shuffling machines, after every 4 or 5 hands, the discard cards are placed back in the machine and mixed with the rest, so no counting. Roll on Las Vegas next week

You can split aces infinitum and take insurance on your BJ everywhere in the UK. Soft drinks are comped, and in some casinos you get comped alcahol & fags(smokes if you are US). The UK game is still pretty bad tho, unless you count and spread wildly.

i play in gala casinos all over the u.k. Their rule is that you cannot split aces, no insurance bets (they offer even money), and the worst thing is the lack of security, to many games interupted by drunks. you are right, you get free tea and coke.

Its been a while since I played at a Gala because of really bad conditions, even by UK standards. I think they all use CSM's now, so I don't even bother going in anymore.

You should burn all your Gala cards, and join another group. There must be a Napoleons, LCI, Stanley or Grovesnor near you!!!!!!
