Does anyone know which systems would result in the Perfect Playing Efficiency and Perfect Betting Efficiency?
Peter Griffin in the man that invented the concepts of betting correlation and playing efficiency. In his book The Theory of Blackjack, he lists several systems. The highest betting correlation is for tags: -9 5 6 8 11 6 4 0 -3 -7 (0.99986) and the highest playing efficiency is 51 60 85 125 169 122 117 43 -52 -180 (.703).
I know there should be a system that approaches 100% for PE and another system that approaches 100% for BE.
Not for a regular count system. PE is measured against a perfect playing computer. To get to 100% you'd need 10 side counts -- one for each rank. If you have that, you can put the side counts into a CA computer program and get 100%, or you can use the 12 pages of tables in ToB to get 99%+.
Different people have proposed different combinations of side counts that can get PE up around 90% or so. It's a horrific waste of time if you realize there are very, very simple AP techniques that can double or triple your SCORE with far less effort.
Peter Griffin invented these conccepts before massive computer power was available to everyone. There are interactions between PE and BC that can change depending on your bet spread, rules, penetration etc. Putting a number on each one separately is of limited value. They've been largely replaced by N0 or SCORE.
Does anyone know what they are (even if a normal human couldn't pull it off) and where I can find more info about them?
Are you building a concealable computer. ;-)
