Paris Casinos ; Be Very Carefull
I was in Paris 6-7 years ago and there were no casinos in the city proper. I visited one outside (20-30 miles) the city proper despite being advised to be careful since the mob is involved.
It was the truth. I had used a credit card to take a line directly from the casino and somehow the charge was rejected, but only several hours later. The credit company apparently did not wish to transfer money to that casino. They ( casino suits) politely kidnapped me ( 3 of them put me in a car and drove me to a nearby hotel to pay off the marker calling it a hotel charge using the credit card machine in the hotel. I was there for almost an hour until they managed to get it right.
Make no mistake about it. They would not let me leave (I told them several times that it was late and I wished to go) until they were satisfied that everything was perfect.
My advice is to be very careful. Speak to the local Police before you go to see if conditions have changed at all since I was there. Listen carefully as they probably will hint at the truth without actually coming right out and accusing the casinos of anything.
I did not count at that time so I cannot advise as to playing conditions except that the blackjack tables were very crowded on both the nights I was there and the roulette tables were almost certainly tampered with, with large bets out.
Also if you do decide to go bring a jacket as there is a dress code. Good luck.
