This new Black Jack Game that utilizes 2 shoes where you pick your hit card from your choice? Anyone play it ? And would it help or hurt card counters. My first glance said hurt . But didn't play or analyze it yet . Any comments appreciated .Don't want to waste time if if is unbeatable. Thanks .

Was advertised in the Entertainer Mag in Laughlin. Their website is www.options blackjack.com
Evidently they are advertising to casinos to add their game.
From what I see Two shoes are used.
They cut off 20% of original shoe place the cards in a smaller shoe and place this shoe on top of major shoe.
Then the Player has choice of taking a hit card from either shoe.
Dealer always hits from Main shoe.
Any comments appreciated if this can be beat/

Is there some gambling convention or something coming up in Vegas. I thought I read that they are going to be pitching it soon in a couple weeks?

Read the site. Can't see any difference from normal blackjack. Just a psychological gimmick for novice players. The reason there are no other special rules is because none are needed. If I give you the option, in a normal game, of taking your cards from behind the cut card, do you care?

Thanks . Thought it was a gimmick. too. I would have to keep two separate counts and maybe a third combined count. BUT the top count would be irrelevant (I think?) because its NOT like having a CLEAN 52 deck you can count from as you suggested in back of the shoe.
What did intrique me tho IF I could SHUFFLE TRACK the shoe it could possibly be VERY profitable.
HOWEVER I HIGHLY doubt this game will be hand shuffled to do so. No doubt would come out of the machine.

Yes, ST would surely be the way to go. One shoe for high (or low) cards, one for the rest. Then, definitely, lots of possibilities.
