online, learning
To Answer the last question, NO! Do not play online, at least with real money. Counting is futile when the deck(s) are shuffled after every hand. If you want to learn, first you need to learn basic strategy perfectly for the game you will play. Second, pick up and read some of the books that the people on here approve of. And for me the best way to practice was to actually buy a shoe and get yourself 8 decks, deal out 7 hands to players and the dealer, keeping the count and playing perfectly all while being distracted by the tv, kids, pets, etc. Or if you prefer, pick up one of the simulators for the PC. I prefer the shoe and to deal cards as this will better train you for the actual distractions in an actual casino. Next amass the proper bankroll for your game and when you feel confident with your abilties, practice even more. Also, always keep records. As you gain confidence, then learn the various BS play changes due to the count and other tricks necessary for a winning game. Just keep practicing and working on your new found skill. I am sure other people on here have better and easier ways but this is how I learned and work just fine.
