One deck game

When I play the one deck game, the last deal(s) are from the bottom half of the deck. I use the High-Low system. When I"m in the second half of the deck, should I adjust my running count by doubling it? As an example, if the running count is a +2, would I then have a true count of +4? If my running count is a -1, would my true count then be -2? Thanks a lot.

after 1/4 of deck is gone multiply RC by 4/3. After 1/3 is gone multiply by 3/2. After 1/2 deck is gone multiply by 2. After 2/3 deck is gone multiply by 3. After 3/4 deck is gone multiply by 4.

Remember to count the cards already on the table and adjust your RC when you have close decisions. Also practice estimating cards in other players hands in close decisions.

Unless your one deck game is paying you the full 3 to 2 payoff on blackjacks, you are playing a losing game. Your basic Card Counting will not serve to overcome the nearly 2% advantage that the house holds over you in that bastardized form of the game, that was designed to take advantage of the naive.

Yes 3:2 is the game. Spread your bets very little once past .5 dk. The dealer most likely will deal you more hands and thus increase your edge.

When at half dk usually the dealer has the option to shuffle up at that point. So you don't want to do anything to cause them to shuffle like a jump in bet size or spread to 2 hands. Keep the bet spread to 1:2 or just parlay the 1 unit bet after a win (when you have the advantage). It looks natural & the dealer will deal more hands.
