I am having trouble with the betting charts in Blackjack for Blood. I dont understand if you are supposed to raise your bet from 2 units to 8 if the count goes really plus on an 8:1 spread or if you raise to 4 units before going to 8. Any information would be greately appreciated.
might get ya a quick trip to the door---depends on the tolerance level of the store you're playing at. I'm guessing you're refering to the chart on page 87--notice the far left column shows your last bet. The chart says go from 2 to 4 to 8.

in BJFB. I suggest you get a copy of Don's Blackjack Attack which has info on optimal spreads for various games. BJFB is a fine book, but the science of optimal betting has come a long long way since it was originally written and published.
AO2, the count system in the book, however remains one of the top two counts in existance. (along with HiOpt-2)
