As for Paris/Bally's, I was disappointed to learn upon registering that it was little more than a slot tournament for blackjack players -- as the format consisted of turning your original stake of $1500 into more than anyone else in the room! Needless to say I went big but still only placed 149th out of a field of 500 ploppies. The cards didn't come for me, and tourney strategy is very limited in this type of field. The good news? Took 5th place at a no-limit texas hold'em poker tourney over @ the Sahara instead!

Are you in the Hilton or have you played it? I also noticed in your last post you didn't mention Ken or Regina in the final round next week?

Nope, I had plans to go several times the past few months but scheduling conflicts kept me away -- being an actor can be rewarding, but I often receive less than a day's notice on certain gigs that cause all kinds of havoc w/ scheduling attendance at tourneys, among other things. I am most definately planning on attacking the MD III, in fact may be in Vegas shooting another blackjack show around the time of the MD II finals, so will be there to cheer on Ken & crew!

Yes of course Ken, Regina, and the MIT-ers (not to mention Mohegan Sun local pro Jimmy Pines) will all be there to provide spirited competition at the WSoBJ Finals next week... but honestly, I love playing pros: they are so very predictable. ;)
