i am an intermediate to experienced basic strategy player, going to use Hi-Lo for the first time in Vegas next week.
i plan on sitting in on several csm tables and want explanations/recommendations since i have never gone against csm
i am looking for s17,ds,es,rsa games
what else should i be lookking for?

2. Don't attempt to count at a CSM table.

Are we missing something, or what? I thought you asked a reasonable question and got a reasonable answer.
The truth is if you don't know basic strategy like the back of your hand, there is no way you will be able to count cards in a casino. It takes alot of practice to be able to count cards while interacting with other players, the dealer, and the CW's.
Don't even waste your time playing CSM's.
I don't understand why you would even consider playing against csm's if you are counting. There are plenty of non-csm six-deckers in Las Vegas. The advice Sammy Boy gave you was right on point. Why would you want to play csm's?
You are completely wrong in your assumption of SammyBoy's remarks.
Everything he (and Bootlegger) said makes perfect sense. If you have the tenacity to say that you are going to count cards against the CSMs, then don't cop a "smartass" attitude when someone gives you good advice. If you insist on counting the CSMs, kindly post a trip report and tell everyone how many hours you were able to stay in the game before your BR went to the other side of the table.

Since you are new you may not understand that csm's are machines that can shuffle the cards after every hand, making the game virtually unbeatable with normal counting procedures. You may also need to reevaluate the parameters under which you will play: es, if you meant early surrender, no longer exists in legitimate Vegas casinos. Bonne chance; PV
I didn't even notice the "es" requirement in his post. I think I saw it and just assumed "ls". I think you might be right about the confusion with Shufflemasters.
i know basic strategy well enough and i'm moving ahead
looked at some csm tech specs and i'm not 100% convinced that they can't be counted or defeated in some other way
i'll look deeper into that later after i get more experienced at hi-lo and ko
believe me i am able to count, make complex calculations, and interact
i'm most worried about getting barred now and whether i'm picking the right tables to play
i'm aware that csm are supposed to shuffle after every hand, but how well and using what mechanism? i'm going to research this later and avoid csm in meantime

seems counting isn't the way to defeat them, pattern tracking might be viable
Betting $10 and then maxing out at $500. Great strategy for getting tossed out on your ass if your $500 bet correlated to a positive count. The only early surrender will be your ability to play bj.

He claims to know the diff between a CSM and Shufflemaster then post 2 links to shufflemaster only, and now he's pumping for camo techniques. Has the attitude of a PC. Caution is advised.
