New user with a Question.

Hello. I have had Mr. Wong's Professional Blackjack book for years and years. To say I have read it would be a vast under statement. I have studied it!
My question pertains to Ken Smith's site Blackjackinfo.com and the blackjack strategy game he has on his site. The question isn't about the basic strategy, it's about whether the game itself is a device that can be used to simulate the casino game itself? I set the game parameters to the exact game(s) I will be playing, and practice not only the basic strategy, but also my card counting. I know it is perfect conditions to play and all, but does that game if anyone knows solid, and my results accurate from a winning standpoint? Thanks for any and all input.

I've used the Strategy Trainer for quite a while and believe that the winning percentages are fairly accurate to what I would expect (at least in the short-term). Obviously, if you are going to be implementing a system, you're going to occasionally disagree with the Strategy Trainer every now and then, but overall it seems like a pretty solid practice system.

I just use the normal high low count with a side count of aces. Play basic strategy.

I've long wondered if there are other math formula's out there for certain advantage plays depending on count that would call for a deviation in basic strategy play.

You say that you have read Stanford Wong's "Professional BJ" over and over again and have studied it in great detail.

How is it possible, then, that you aren't aware of playing strategy deviations from basic strategy that occupy dozens upon dozens of pages of Wong's book?

Something doesn't make sense here. Either you're toying with us, or you haven't read nearly in as much detail as you claim.

I remember seeing an interview once with John Chang where he mentioned that their team saw some of his biggest success playing basic strategy on already positive shoes:

This would assume you are Wonging in/out and only playing when there is an advantage.

However, regardless of whether you are Wonging or playing and waiting for the tide to turn, you'd have a better advantage if you modified your play from basic strategy, as advocated in Professional Blackjack.
