We are now using new posting software. There are some changes with how the new software works that posters need to be aware of.
If you haven't registered your handle (i.e. created a "profile"), you will need to do so in order to post. Creating a profile is easy. Click here to create a profile if you haven't already done so. Once you register a profile, the posting software will email the handle's password to the email account you specified in the profile. The email shouldn't take more than a few minutes to reach your inbox. Profiles that already exist will work using the new posting software with no modifications. Keep in mind that you do not need to register a profile if you would like to view the board, though posting requires a valid username and password combination.
Up to this point, we have allowed profile registration without an email address. If you want to have an email address associated with your profile, edit your profile and add one.
Posters cannot see other posters' email addresses anymore. This is to prevent web bots from harvesting email addresses. Previously, using the old software, bots were not allowed to harvest email addresses here, so do not worry. The new software allows google and other search engines to index our site, while the old software didn't allow this functionality. You can, once you have registered a profile, send members email through a built in feature. View a post in this forum and you'll see the "Send E-Mail to this Poster" link to the right of the name.
