Downtown changes
How has the new ownership of some of the downtown casinos affected the games? Positive or negative?
Golden Nugget has gotten rid of its 6 to 5 ploppy ripoff tables, and added two real single decks, with mediocre pen.
Plaza has gotten rid of its fake single deck game, and appears to have slightly improved pen on double deck.
Las Vegas Club has gotten rid of several of its single decks, and repalced them with double decks and two 8-deck shoes.
The games are unchanged at the Western, but "checks play" is not called until $100 with many dealers, and they don't seem to sweat over every green chip like they used to.
I don't know about the Gold Spike, table max is too low to play there.
Harrah's, of course, has destroyed what little was left of the Horseshoe.
