I was in Tunica, and at Sheraton and Bally's they had a game I hadn't seen before called Single 21. Rules are:
- Single deck, all cards dealt face up (except dealer hole card)
- Double down ANYTIME, except with a blackjack
- Late surrender ANYTIME
- Six cards without busting, automatic winner
- Split any pair of cards, except to avoid busting
- Blackjack wins, even against a dealer's blackjack
- Unsuited blackjacks get paid even money
- RSA, H17
I guess this is similar to Spanish 21 (which I've never played), except it is a full deck (10's are included), and a multi-card 21 is not an automatic winner.
Above, when I say anytime, that includes after splitting and after doubling down.
Here's the question(s) - where is the house edge? With rules like these, IS there a house edge? If not, why would the house have the game? The only glaring downside that I saw was the even money blackjacks.
I did notice that I could barely concentrate with so many things to consider each hand, so counting was worthless (for me anyway).
Thanks!
