50% penetration is terrible. You won't get many chances to put your counting skills to use- there will not be enough cards dealt for you to get many high counts. You will need to spread from 1-8 just to have a fair shot at this game, and you can still get eaten alive. I only play a game like you describe if I can get it heads up. Shop for better games- maybe some of the dealers go a little deeper in the pack.

with 50% penetration your advantage with card counting is about 0.5%not really worth the trip. stick to the minimum bet and fluctuate 1-4 units. Dont be discouraged if you lose, it happens to even the best players.
While 50% pen obviously is not optimal, if it's your only choice...I'd keep my bet to 1-3 units until and unless I see huge positive counts, then, as Grifter suggest, I'd lay down some huge bets.
not all that bad as long as you can get 8x1 spreads or better. I'd have a heyday with it if I could get the 20x1 Grif mentions below.
Problem is, most geo. areas are islands of 6D 2.0 junk and that makes this game pretty attractive. Obviously, in LV, Reno, Biloxi, there's better stuff around.
The .5% edge is easily beatable with a decent counting system and 3x1 spreads or better for this game... one would be clearly above 1.5% at 8x1 with a strong system.
