National Airlines shuts down

***URGENT*** LAS VEGAS TRAVEL WARNING:

National Airlines has announced that it closed all operations on Wednesday, November 6th. Planes are grounded, phone lines
are jammed and their internet site is shut down.

National said it would offer no refunds on tickets. If you have booked
a ticket with National, call your credit card company IMMEDIATELY,
dispute the charge and have them remove the charge from your account.
Note the full name and direct telephone number of the person you spoke
to at your credit card company.

which makes the point...

one should always use their credit card when making reservations! Cash or checks won't fly (pun intended)...and whatever you do, don't use the "fake" Visa or MC cards...better known as debit cards.

Debit cards are incredibly dangerous, and DO NOT afford you the same protection as using a real credit card. Those that have debit cards would be wise indeed to read what having one of those things really can do to your wallet should it become misplaced or worse yet, stolen. To the chase...zippo protection!! Read da mice type.

Imagine those who purchased tickets on National with cash or checks! What a ripoff to think National can keep their money, and little they can do to recover.
