I am seriously thinking about this whole counting thing, over the last month i have been reading about four or five books, started with MITs bringing down the House, then went to a Take The Money and run book! Have added Proffesional Blackjack which helped me learn Hi-Lo and basic strategy pretty well.
First trip to the casino was with a friend, we went to play poker as he is big on that! I played some $2 BJ just to get a feel for the pace and play, By the way i noted how many players use hunches even at $5 and $10 tables rather than cold hard fact e.g BS and Hi LO count. I actually won huge as i was employing a rather dumb strategy of sitting at third base and watching all the cards if i noticed a low amount of high cards after a few rounds i bet $10, took $250 to the casino left $230 and stayed over night, lost about $130 playing poker so actually won at BJ, it was a six deck shoe NO HEAT in Morton MN Jackpot Junction, going back home to England and gonna really start to learn Hi Opt 1 or 2 over the summer and give it a go in August. I am sure that this will be a revelation...
By the Way, Game Conditions up their are great! really deep penetration, stand on all 17, no heat, split aces but only take one card(not good). Their is also a two deck game their, which i plan on playing, went to get a decent roll first as its $5 min. bet
I am thinking about maybe $2000 to start off with any suggestions?
