...has anyone tried this excel program, which is available at bjmath.com? I just downloaded it, and can't get it to work for more than 1 deck. Is it possible to do this? If not, does anyone else know of a program that will generate indices for me (for multiple decks)?
...apparently, regarding a couple points - 1.) "multi-parameter" does NOT refer to indices designed for multi-deck games, and 2.) One set of indices is good for any #decks - using slightly different indices for different #decks will NOT improve system gain. G

Glad to see that you checked out BJMath. Did you check out the article I suggested in a prior thread? These are good indices for the game you had described and the catch 22 will get something like 90% of all EV gain vs. knowing ALL indices. If you want to toss in a few more for the 6deck game, go to BJSchool on this site.
doesn't generate regular indexes...it generates multi-parameter indexes (like if you're interested in side counting 7's or Aces). This is only really useful if you play a lot of single deck games. You can find the bj-strat program on BJmath.com and it will generate non-risk averse indexes. It's an old DOS program with a command line style interface....good luck!
