Multi-deck SMs

Multi deck (non-continuous) shuffle machines appear to execute a very thorough shuffle.
Seems to me that if multiple decks are TRULY well shuffled then you might assume that any given, say, half deck should be balanced.
Would it be reasonable, then, to expect the changing count to resemble a sine wave?
In other words if the count increased in one round could you reasonably expect it to normalize in the next? (Given a full table).

You should not expect each half deck to be well balanced. You only expect them to be balance "on average", as the entire shoe is balanced "on average". And you should not expect the true count to ever correct. It doesn't. The expected TC on the next round, or N rounds in the future is always the same. After three extra low cards are dealt there is no difference than if you had started with a special deck that had 3 fewer low cards. They are gone and are not coming back. You will expect high and low cards to be depleated in proportion to their new ratios, not their original ratios.

It is not true of the ones I've observed. I don't see any count preserved in any segments. The entire shoe is shuffled together. What is the evidence to support these balanced segments?

I'm talking about the regular shuffle machines. I've heard nothing before about the count in each segment being preserved or having balanced half decks. If this was true then shuffle trackers could figure them out and beat them pretty easily.

EV would be close to that of single deck game wouldn't it?

If you have no information about the previous shoe, and a thorough shuffle is performed, then you can have extra information about the next shoe?? Due to the eveness of the shuffle??
