Mini trip report

Returned to VEgas and blackjack after a 2 year hiatius where I tried to learn poker. Played at the Cirucs act the whole time. Bankroll was small so I ran a 3:1 spread. I was able to get the Hi Low +10 to -10 matrices memorized pretty quickly. I was problably a little rusty when it comes to all the mulittasking one has to do when counting, but I thought I played okay. Only played for 2 days and about 11 hours. Dropped about $90, but it was still fun to be back. I ordered one issue of CBJN for this trip. It seemed to me that the rules at CC were good enough. The penetration ranged from %65 to %85 and probably averaged out at about %80. Any thoughts on the quality of the games at CC?

Unless things have changed recently, their rules for 6 deck are H17, DAS, no surrender. Even with 83% penetration, assuming you spread 1-3 and wong out at TC<=-1, the SCORE is only 18 (calculated on http://www.qfit.com/cvcxonlineviewer.htm). If you don't wong out, the SCORE is less than 1!

You really want to be playing games with a SCORE of at least 50.

Life is tough with a small bankroll. You either need to wong in at +1 or +2 with a shallow spread, or play low-limit double deck games.

With a 1-3 spread limit you would be better off playing their DD (if it still exists). Also, the El Cortez and downtown are a short bus ride away.

There is double deck at cc, but the rules are that you can only double down on 10 or 11 so I didn't play those games.

DD rules give the 6D game a small advantage (.10-.15) off the top unless one is S17. A 1-3 spread might still favor the DD game if both are play-all. Personal preferrance could make the difference.
