Alexander, as you probably know, your dad and I worked closely together on several projects, and I consider him a friend. He often spoke of you and your chess exploits; how are they going?

Dad's collection looks so close to my own that it is frightening. May I ask what has prompted him to want to sell everything?

It is like my accumulation also. Even though I have always been a low stakes player, I have read a lot about the blackjack and casino gaming in general. I would love to see the following two Gamblers Book Club publications go back into print:

Money Management in the Casino - Dean Wiley
Understanding Gambling Systems - Dean Wiley

They explain why progression-pyramid typ betting systems cannot give the player an advantage in a game with negative expected value. This topic is also treated extensively in The Casino Gambler's Guide by Allan Wilson. I would also love to see this book go back into printed, notwithstanding the fact that much of its material is dated. Don, do you know Dean Wiley of anything about him? I have both of these booklets.
