Maybe this is alot to ask, but...

Would anyone have any tips or examples of a BJ sim in basic or C? Actually, it would be real nice if there was something in MathCad as that is what I am trying to build mine in.

I would use one of the professional version, but I am looking at different parlaying methods and the affect of switching to multiple hands at various times during play.

I figure these sim 'cores' have been around for a long time so they may not be considered proprietary by anyone ( but then again I could be wrong ). So if anyone knows, or knows any tips or tricks then let me know....

SIMSIMP on www.bjmath.com . It does not do a count, but it's fairly easy to add the count of your choice.

SIMSIMP is in the compiled version of QBASIC. I don't think I'd recommend doing a simulator in MathCad.

This looks like what I'm looking for. Interestingly, I did not find it in a search of BJMath ( came up empty search ) but found it by a Google search which found it on bjmath.

What concerns do you have with MathCad? I am concerned about ease and speed so I will probably switch to Basic.

I don't know much about MathCad except it's a very expensive, very good formula cruncher. I know it has a programming language of sorts, which I'm sure is complete in the Turing sense, but I don't think of it as a language streamlined for speed and readability. I guess I imagine MathCad putting every line through a sophisticated formula parser, which would be a great waste of time.

One good thing about QBasic is its very easy to upgrade to VBasic. The fastest simulator on the market right now, CVSIM, is written in VBasic.

QBasic runs a little slow on todays versions of Windows, because the compiler sets up memory boundaries according to old Win95 standards, so Win98 and above has to adapt to the program, instead of the other way around. (That's my theory, anyway. Microsoft will neither confirm nor deny. ;-) )
