Any thoughts on this? Have had a few recently. Trying to get the most out of them.
Saw one author recommend using Matchplay at Craps. For sure, the payout is cleaner. Win or lose.
If you play Match-play on Vegas, here are my observations:
1) Wait til a +EV count.
2) Match the coupon 1-for-1. I don't think it's great to bet $100 on top of a $20 matchplay.
3) Was told Surrender takes away the Matchplay. EV for Hit/Stand vs Surrender is not a big difference. So, I would say to not Surrender, in order to maximize return on (Base bet + Matchplay).
4) I believe the rules are such that Double Down and Split should not be done, either. Can't extend the Matchplay to a second stack. So, I think strategy would be to get to the best #. IE, don't double 11 vs 10. Just hit, if u catch a 2, re-hit.
5) Have seen variant rules on BJ. Would it pay 1:1 on the Match, or 3:2? Also not sure about Insurance, as it relates to Matchplay.
