Learning to be an AP
I would like to know what an AP is and what it takes to become one. Should I spend money to buy hi-opt 1 for SD? And if yes, what book? Has any of you had Green Chip Membership and how does it improve your skills? Is it worthwhile paying $59 a year? Some feedback is appreciated.
An AP is an advantage player -- one who gambles with an advantage, whether it be blackjack, poker, video poker, sports betting, craps, or other games.
Unless you play in Northern Nevada, you probably aren't going to find enough 3:2 single deck blackjack games to dedicate learning HiOpt I.
There are enough free resources to learn the basics of blackjack. One is the Blackjack School link on this site. Another is the free online Modern Blackjack book.
Greenchip is worth it; the archives alone are a wealth of information.
