I generally play at Atl City and recently noticed on a CBJN report that 1 or 2 casinos there offer late surrender. I'm not used to playing with that rule.
What impact -- if any -- does the TC have on when to take LS? Do you take LS more often when the TC goes positive? I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere.

For example, if you use HiLo for multideck games, the index numbers for surrendering against a dealer's X are -3 for 16, 0 for 15, +3 for 14, 0 for 8-8, and +2 for 7-7. Thus, if you're dealt, say 8-6 vs. the dealer's X, and the TC is +3 or more, then you should surrender rather than play.

Best you not quote that bad 0 index for 8-8 that has hung around much too long. Use +1 for NDAS and +2 for DAS.

Trump Marina. CBJN is correct in noting its in the +$50 room. But I asked and got it on a $25 table.
Thanks for the indices. It made sense to me earlier that using LS would increase as the TC went up, but I didn't know exactly when and how much. The deviations from standard were what I was looking for.

Index for surrendering 16v9 is -1 and for 15v9 it's +2
Ask for LS and they will watch you like a hawk.
I had the temerity (and bad judgement) to ask for L.S. at Trump Marina (more than a decade ago). I was made to wait and then I spread 3-1 to see what would happen. I included only Basic Strategy Late Surrender decisions - Consequently, I was immediately "half-shoed" on the 2nd shoe.
I would soon learn that that that casino uses Late Surrender as a Counter-Catching technique.
Late Surrender is not advertised. Consequentially only well-informed players know that it exists !
When I went and asked, everyone seemed pretty laid back. Unfortunately the shoe stayed pretty flat (TC around 0) so I didn't get the chance to jack up my bet and see how much attention I got from the PB. Next time and I'll report results.
