Nice graph, but is the z-axis (with a scale of 1-8) supposed to represent anything?

I believe, however it`s a little difficult to compare with the 3D thingy happening, as the balloons are placed at different depths.

That said and done, I suppose "ease of use" is a pretty subjective category anyway. Though I would question whether any level one count is any easier than another...UBZII seems a little over-rated.

I`m not too thrilled with AOII represented as a soft pink balloon, either.

Norm Wattenberger is the creator of Casino Verite blackjack software products and the creator of the graph I referenced in my prior post. He has many other helpful charts on his site, with explanations as to each. Follow the link below to find a further explanation for the chart I referenced as well as many others.

Norm W. was a poster on this site until about a year or so ago. He finally left after putting up with one two many flamers, despite many of our pleas to remain. He is a real gentleman, very BJ knowledgable, has quality products and the most liberal software license agreement in the business. And if you are one of his customers, he will patently correspond with you by email until any questions you have are answered.

its the best count out there in my opinion.its easy to use and more powerful then the true count systems.im up 300 units in the past 2 months.you shouldnt make comments about a count if you never tried it.

From page 289 of Blackjack Attack, 2nd Ed.:

"Here, the SCORE is almost 11% higher than KO's and is even 7.5% superior to hi-lo."

And all that with no true-count conversion or side counts!

i cant believe someone would dog my beloved UBZ 2:)why this count is not used by EVERYONE is still shocking.

Thanks for pointing me to the link, and, as a long-time peruser of bj21, I am familiar (sadly) with the whole Norm W saga.

Unfortunately, the explanation for the scatterplot provided is wrong in that Norm has flip-flopped the "z" and "y" axes (only in the description, not in the graph itself).

At any rate, I see now that, acc'ing to the description, the z-axis (with a scale from 1-8) represents "ease of use."

Interesting to note that the 'best' system would appear (as Norm writes in his description) in the top, right, back 'corner' of the graph--which is conspicuously empty.

UBZII was developed by George C. He wrote a book on it, imaginatively titled, The Unbalanced Zen II. This may be ordered from Snyder's site - www.rge21.com

As I mentioned in my earlier post, it is discussed at some length in Don Schlesinger's Blackjack Attack, 2nd ed.

You might also go to the Card Counting page in Green Chip, set preferences for over a year, and find some threads from when I first decided to use this count, about a year ago.

You might also try a search at www.bjmath.com.

UBZII is a relatively new counting system, and it is not hugely popular, so the amount of info available is somewhat limited.

However, I find that it works well.

I went to the GBC the other day looking for a copy of UBZ2, but they told me it is out of print!?!?!?!?! Was wondering if there was anyway i could get ahold of the system, along with it's card values, indices..blah...blah...blah. Thanks in advance!!!

none of the websites that use to carry it have it anymore.rge21 carrys george c's other books but not his main one which i find odd.the search engines no longer have it.it looks like the apple computer from 5 years ago when they almost went under.better product but no customers.i will call the gamblers general store tomorrow and see if they carry it.ill take your word that the gbc doesnt have it.adelphi,if your reading this-didnt you say you bought the book.until then,here are the tags JUST ME and TB if you want to do something in the meantime: 1 1) 2 2) 3 2) 4 2) 5 2) 6 2) 7 1) 8 0) 9 0) 10 -2) A-1).if you buy a index generator and bjrm- you dont need the book-which i highly advise since the book is not well written in my opinion.thats probably why its out of print.its a great count but he took a short cut unlike the KO book which appealed to a mass audience.george went after the pro counter and forgot the newbie.its only about 20-25 pages long.until thursday.
