Joining a Blackjack Team

Interested in joining a blackjack team. I use Hi-Lo w/ the 18 variations. Know basic strategy cold. Have never worked with a team and was curious about the vetting process both from the standpoint of the team's security and also the trust issue that seems to be a problem with teams in terms of understated winnings and overstated losses.

Traveling to Vegas soon for the better part of a week, based in Florida and will be in NY for 4 months, passing through AC twice in the next 4 months. Appreciate any thoughts! Thank you. Mike

Don't do it! Recruit your own team from people you know and trust. And also, not to be an ass but using hi-lo for professional play? Really! ;)

it doesn't work that way.

Unless you know someone on a one of the various teams and have known them for awhile you're out of luck. If you know 2 or more other players you might consider something on a smaller scale like just traveling with a partner on trips and combining bankroll and results and then chopping up the win/loss at the end of each trip based on hours and bankroll contribution. You can drive together from town to town and you or your partner can rent a car for a few days if you need separate transportation (otherwise you can each play on different halves of the clock).

Most teams that use the spotter/big better approach DO USE hi-lo. They make their money from the very large bet spread between the spotter and the big player. Accuracy is most important aspect, so they use hi-lo rather than a more difficult count.

Okay but where is there a casino left that will let someone come in with a big bet in the middle of a shoe?
