Html is enabled on the message board. Just use the appropriate image codes as you would with a webpage.
Keep in mind that these pages are viewed worldwide, in some cases on slow dialup connections with a per-minute charge. A small image would be okay, but it is better (not to mention more considerate) to merely provide a link to large images.
Of course, some of us view these pages with image downloading disabled. (Ads? What ads?)
