I believe I read in one of his books that he took the name "Wong" when writing books because he'd already given the casinos his real name.
His parents were from Madagascar.
Back in the 80's he was better known as Max Headroom.
His name used to be Stanford White, then he married Juliet Wong, and after all, two Wong's don't make a White.
"wongers" instead of "rude guys who jump in and out of games"
