Sounds ominous enough
``There are a number of groups trying to make money by hacking,'' said Donoughue. ``Where would you go? I'd go to dodgy online casinos. Their customers aren't going to complain.''
True enough. Some online players are making a hundred or more purchases a month. Slogging through a credit card statement ot other payment mechanism is hard enough without trying to figure "mysterious charges".
One poster here on the Net Casinos page has suggested he lost $1900 in just such an incident, while others have complained about $49 charges which seem to be from porn sites. This stuff does happen and security is a real issue with online gambling. That said, it is still a rare and infrequent occurence.
