Intelligent chips

I read an article from BJ21.com that mentioned shuffle master selling a program to a casino that will allow the casino to monitor how much money one is playing with. Rather than the pit boss coming by every 1/2 hour and seeing how much is bet the program will automatically tally up the wagering bets. There is a "chip" in the casino chips that can monitor this. Some things like: amount of money played, card counters, winning ratio and other things as well. Will this wipe out card counters.

Well it's certainly another step to at the very least "track" successful counters.

Probably expensive, would definitely encourage laziness among casino employees. Hopefully two things that will keep a lot of casinos from investing in the stuff.

They are using the Mindplay "device " on the gambling boat out of St Petersburg, Fl. They have it on all 16 BJ tables .It does everything from keeping track of your every bet to knowing the order of the cards in the shoe.Go to www.mindplay.biz and click on the BJ section for some very scary reading . Saw it at the Flamingo in LV last summer on some tables .It is very expensive for sure

It�s still at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. I like to go up to the dealer and buy-in $500 ($200 green and $300 black). Then I start looking at all that stuff like I just noticed it, like it's a rigged game or something. I get this funny look on my face and start talking about big brother watching my gambling money and how I like to play where the IRS doesn't know my every move.

They try to tell me it�s a great thing for tracking comp play and I just keep saying it doesn�t seem right and it feels funny, kind of unlucky. I then say I�m going to cash-out my chips and ask if they have a reg. game without all the high tech stuff. When they say no, I say �That�s ok, I�ll just run over to Caesars�. If we could get everybody to do this I�m sure they would start thinking twice about it.

Seeing Doubles

Try telling them you are going to the Mirage instead. Flamingo & Caesars = Same Company, I think.
