Subject : INSURING YOUR BJ Author : JOHN PATRICK Date : 10/22/2001 1:09:23 PM
I wish I could devote more time to this matter because it is so important in the overall approach to gambling.........and not to just the single decision as to when to Insure your BJ.
Naturally, you should always insure BJ vs that ace because it is a no lose situation and there are surely very few of those guaranteed wins lying out there............(except of course when I am on a red hot sports picking streak , which is not the case right now), but taking my picks in those instances is on a par with grabbing a definite profit.
Taking that guaranteed even money pay off whenever the situation arises is a no brainer........which reminds me of the posts I have seen lately from the more advanced Clueless BJ contributors, who have the downright gall to tell a person to NOT take that pay-off, because over the next 10,000 hands maybe, maybe spanning the next 74 years, which it will take you to get that situation.......you sill save yourself somewhere in the neighborhood of $11.57
I think it was Jim or Jeb (they both have a handle on the THEORY of what it takes to go to a casino and accept small returns, but I'm not sure which one of them zeroed in on this message (maybe it was both).
He (they), proclaimed the importance of LOGIC.....one of the Little 3 components and how important it was to use LOGIC in your everyday approach to gambling.
Well, taking a guaranteed pay off, before you put yourself in a position of breaking even.......when you are dealt the grand-daddy of all casino hands (BJ), is the LOGICAL move to make.
Let's use a bet of $10, where you are dealt BJ and the dealer has an ace. You are in a guaranteed position , by taking Insurance to get that $10 back, PLUS an additional $10.
If you opt NOT to insure it, you are gambling that the dealer HAS a BJ and all you get in return is your original $10 bet. Is it worth risking $10, to get an extra $5????????????
How in Heavens name could anyone think of doing that.......and have the audacity to tell others that it is the right thing to do. It is illogical, that's what it is................ to throw up your nose at a guaranteed pay-off
Mah friends , I say mah friends..........banish these poison tongued no nothings to the scrap pile of blabber mouth windbags.
Listen to the words of Jeb/Jim (or both), who proclaim LOGIC in your gambling forays ..........LEARN HOW TO WIN.....that's what we go to the casinos for anyhow, isn't it?//
Wellllllllllllll, isn't it?????????????........JOHN PATRICK
These pretenders to the position of expert .....are actually telling people that NOT accepting
