If I could have found an affimative answer to this question myself, obviously I wouldn't be asking about it on this open site. The only cards with yellow ink on them are the Jack, Queen and King. Would it be possible to make a pair of infra red glasses that could detect the presence of this color on the hidden side of the card?
First of all it's illegal, and second of all, no, it won't work, because the cards are opaque, even to IR.
