North Cali
I have visited several Indian Casinos that are located in the North of California during my business trips. The typical rules (except for Thunder Valley) are 6D, H17, DOA, DAS, re-split into 4 hands, split-ace receive 1 card & no Surrender. I've played in AC and the Indian Casinos and have always liked Mohegun Sun the best because it was smaller and less crowded than Foxwood (in comparisons, the No. Cali casinos are about 10% the size of Foxwood). I liked Caesars & the Claridge in AC before they were bought out by Park Place. I don't have a lot of exposure to Las Vegas (couldn't get biz trips approved)!
Are they same as Nevada and Atlantic city towards card counters?
No, they are not pr*cks like the AC counter catchers in Sands or Claridge or the Hilton. However, because the Indian Casinos are small, if you make $500 or $1,000 per session, you will be on their radar screen. One pitboss at a small No. Cali Casino was really upset some Reno team hit his casino for $1,500, yes $1,500. And yes, they have well season counter-catcher teams so be careful.
