Illustrious 18 or Revised I18 Index?

I've been counting professionally for a little over 1 year now. I've seen very good results and have been barred from 5 casinos now in the midwest area.

When i started counting I did not incorpororate the I18; however, I quickly put it into my play after reading several bj books about 4 mounths ago.

My YTD results (after incorporating I18): 305 hours + $36,185.00
This translates to $260.00 per hour which i feel is a little high due to some large recent wins but still very good. Comment if you would like on my results but my question is below.

It is mostly the same: however, you can see the 3 plays it differs by.

Hmm. Maybe you feel it's a little high because, er, well, your division isn't very good! $36,185/305 = $118.64 per hour. :-)

I'm assuming one of the four books you read wasn't BJA3! Had it been, you might have read an entire section of a chapter (13) devoted to this topic. See pp. 374-75.

Four plays added, to make the "Catch 22": doubling 8 v. 5 and 6, and doubling A,8 v. 5 and 6.

Don't drop the four that Cac dropped: Just add the above four to make 22 indices in all.

Wow, my mistake on that math; I'm really glad you pointed it out though, i had an equation in my spreadsheet log wrong.

BJA3 was next in line to be read; i should probably get on that sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the friendly post. I started counting solo about a year ago. My game was a little rough a round the edges the first 6 months but i have continued to get better through sites like these. I played and worked on the side to stack up a bank roll which probably isn't the best way to go but i made it work with a $10 unit and 1-10 spread.

I've got a 20k bank roll now and I'm at $25 unit, 1-10 spread. I quit my job about 3 months ago to pursue this and its really paid off. This site taught be alot about the other aspects of BJ....other players, casino employees, heat, etc.

...relative your play, considering it appears you are skimming your bankroll for living expenses (Quit job). I will suggest you consider a Green Chip subscription for $5 a month. There are a lot of very smart and experienced players in GC. Most are good people also. Just be careful with your spelling and grammar.
