Ok, Ok, I'll be good. I just want to know the best way to obtain a fake ID so I will feel more comfy using my alias when I start playing again. Also good if needed while getting comps.

Although I have never used a fake i.d. I have heard that the following books provide your requested information:

Tried sending you e-mail but was unable to do so. What state do you live in? Setup a temporary e-mail.

First, you do not need to do this. Alot of places may ask for ID, but will back down if you stand your ground. Just be creative and you can figure out how to get the desired result. If they think that you are a valuable customer, then they will not want to risk pissing you off. I won't post specifics on a public site.

Second, it is too big of a risk. The stakes for obtaining and using fake ID's have gone up dramatically with the war on Terra (as GW calls it). If caught, be prepared to be treated like a terrorist threat because that will be the starting assumption.

Don't do it! It's not worth it. Times have changed. A "fake I.D." is the equivalent to running through a metal detector at the airport.

So, what really are the legal ramifications if caught? What really are the chances of getting caught with a very well done ID? Maybe there is more risk of being back-roomed and beaten/robbed than caught with a fake ID. There's got to be a better way to get comped rooms, meals, etc. without using our real name. ???

When you mess with fake identification you're f-ing with the feds! I would rather yank on a wild tiger�s tail than "F" with the USG!
There are many ways to beat the system and I will be happy to explain and explore them with you and this board in small increments. Reason being I know casino executives are here, watching and listening to us we speak ("F" you "A" holes!)

The legal ramifications of getting caught with a fake I.D. are devastating! Your chances of getting caught are 1 in 2 depending on your method! You would be better off selling drugs to minors in a school yard (which is not acceptable).

Let me be clear here. You don't NEED a fake ID. This is NOT about a "better" quality ID. This is about using your own ID, under your REAL name. Fake ID's , as everyone will tell you, from atop the highest mountain, is a VERY BAD IDEA.

1) It is NOT ILLEGAL, when asked, to say you're Joe Blow from anywhere, USA.
2) It is NOT ILLEGAL, to recieve comps as Joe Blow. MGM, as a rule requires ID. Not all do.
3) It is NOT ILLEGAL, to gamble in a casino as Joe Blow.
4) It is NOT ILLEGAL, when asked, to decline to show ID to anyone who is NOT in LAW ENFORCEMENT.

No matter what you do, always carry your REAL ID with you! Reread #4

While you may feel a need to do so, contrary to what casinos would like the public to believe, and in fact routinely frequently falsely assert, the USSC has consistently held that there is no legal requirement to carry an ID anywhere, period.

My carry your ID advice [although I deliberately left this point out] was more related to if in fact, you are detained by casino security personnel, and subsequently arrested by Metro [or any law enforcement agency for that matter] it will help [at least it would have in the Grosjean case] expedite your release from custody by allowing you to post bond more quickly, as they "know", by your ID, who you are.

greatly on a state by state basis. There are still storefront operations in many major cities (especially those with new immigrant populations) that sell "Novelty ID's" which look extremely authentic.

In some states, Florida for example, mere possession of a novelty ID that looks too much like the real thing is a felony. In other states it depends on whether you attempt to use them to commit fraud. And in yet another state as long as the ID has a disclamier somewhere on it that it is a "Novelty ID for Entertainment Purposes Only" it's as legal as a baseball card.

It is good advice, however, in the post 9-11 world we live in to think two or three times before using alternative identification. If you're not playing for serious stakes you need to consider the risk/reward ratio of using these items. If you're a lower limit player it is probably a better idea to play some VP for comps and play blackjack unrated than to try and use fake ID's.
