I am using Internet Explorer 6. When I read a message I don't see certain symbols. These include the ' and the " perhaps others that are infrequently used. Any help would be appreciated.

Below is a complete symbol test to allow me to see which ones work and which ones don't

However, I come across the missing symbols frequently. For example, the post on Vegas Green "Vegas Trip - Mid January (43) -- TurboTrader -- 3 February 03, 9:51 p.m. NEW" has the problem. I am wondering if TurboTrader and the others that cause this issue are using a different browser (linex, unix, mac?) that is incompatable? Or is it a different ISO standard issue?
A second example is Stanford's post here on free: "Post of the Month wins $100 for BigPlayer (150) -- Stanford Wong -- 2 February 03, 4:58 p.m.". When I read: "I once had your viewpoint bigplayer 7 January 03, 12:45 p.m. on BJ Green". I see: "...viewpoint box bigplayer box 7...."

I have no problem reading what you said gave you trouble -- "I once had your viewpoint � bigplayer � 7 January 03, 12:45 p.m. on BJ Green."
You may have a local problem.
Try this:
On the View menu, point to Encoding, then click "Western European (Windows)".
