I have read about it in Professional BlackJack, but I am still having some questions about the assumptions used. If I remember correctly, playing 6 decks with AC rules (S17, no surrender, double any 2 cards, DOA) and having a max bet of $100; your expected win/hour would be about $22. But what assumptions are being used here? I would guess it assumes basic strategy variations, bet spreading. But what kind of bet spreading? Betting one unit less than the true count, which I think is a standard; or betting like 4 units for tc of 3, 6 units for tc of 4? Also, do we assume playing only if tc is statistically profitable? If so, what is the number of hands expected to be played per hour? It probably wouldn't be wise to assume standard 75-100 hands/hour, if we only expect to play counts +2 or greater, which occur less than 20% of the time.
