I have started using the black jack charts for which cards to play but I dont know how to adjust my wager amounts, when playing online.
Is there a formula to use?
It a use a reasonable level I often seem to loose my money in the end, or if you use a small wager amount then it can take forever to bet the minimum amount to qualify for the bonus.
I would be very grateful for anyones advice or the system they use?

I see what you mean.
I usually bet on the free bonuses from casinos for sign up or their regualar bonuses, like the best ones are $100 free for $100 deposit.
If you've got to run through $3,000 to get a $500 bonus on a $1,000 deposit, whether you bet $500 on six hands or 100 hands of $30 your theoretical loss is the same. The bigger you bet the quicker you can claim your bonus but the more likely you are to lose your original deposit.
To minimize your chance of losing your entire original deposit, divide it into 40 units (more or less depending on how much action you are required to give) and either flat bet or even better play a mild positive progression (to create a win/loss distribution of mostly small losses) until you put in the required amount of action and then just pocket the bonus. If you do it right you will usually show a small loss on your play which should be offset by the bonus you are trying to get.
